El Ixsir 2019 – Liban

The nose is aromatic, gourmand and offers richness (full of finesse) as well as concentration (full of finesse). It reveals notes of concentrated cassis, concentrated blackberry, small notes of strawberry associated with touches of blueberry, small plum as well as touches of crushed griotte cherry, hints of liquorice, caramelization, toasted, vanilla, very discreet hints of sense of the place and aromatic herbs. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness, minerality, an acidulous frame, a beautiful gourmandize, definition as well as finesse of the grain, suavity, richness (full of finesse/control). On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, black cherry, small notes of strawberry associated with touches of small crushed red berries, violet, small juicy/bright blue fruits as well as fine hints of black olive, chocolate, toasted and a very discreet hint of spices/sense of the place. Tannins are elegant and structuring.
