Edmond Cornu & Fils Ladoix 1er Cru Le Bois Roussot 2022 – Ladoix

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose offers ripe, concentrated, even textured fruity aromas. It expresses notes of morello cherry, wild strawberry, raspberry, blackcurrant jam (in the background), as well as a delicate but distinct spiciness (liquorice, nutmeg, white pepper), a fragrant floral bouquet (rose, peony, violet), as well as a herbaceous hint of dried rosemary. The palate is enveloping, fruity and juicy. It expresses notes of fresh red cherry, crushed raspberry, crunchy strawberry, red currant and crushed blackcurrant in the background, combined with a fine spiciness (liquorice, white pepper, nutmeg), a touch of smoke and toast, as well as a delicate floral bouquet (rose, cherry blossom, peony, violet) and a herbaceous touch of mint and dried rosemary. The finish offers salivating acidity, energy, good bitterness, notes of black fruits and good persistence. The tannins are sapid and enveloped, very slightly grippy.
