The nose has a lovely freshness, a spicy side, intensity, precision, delicacy, depth and a little side of Indian ink and graphite. It expresses notes of crushed blackcurrant, strawberry and, more lightly, pulpy/bright cherry combined with touches of bigarreau cherry, graphite, violet as well as fine hints of star anise and fresh spices. The palate is fruity and offers freshness, minerality, tension, accuracy, a tangy structure, a fine creaminess, a fine racy side tight in its grain, gourmandise and intensity. It expresses notes of pulpy/juicy boysenberry, bigarreau cherry, small dense/juicy black fruits associated with touches of graphite, camphor as well as hints of violet, fresh blond tobacco, on a fine side Indian ink and fine hints of toasted, bourbon vanilla. Good length. A lovely energy and racy minerality without austerity. A nice chew on persistence.
