The nose is fresh, racy, and liquoricey and offers a nice well-mastered intensity, concentration and depth. We find notes of liquorice, flowers (lily, iris, lilac), and small notes of crushed strawberry associated with touches of morello cherry, fine hints of mocha as well as a discreet hint of the local grove, salinity, and fine hints of toast. The palate is fruity, a bit aerial, and offers juiciness, minerality, energy, a nice tangy structure, delicacy in its concentration, as well as a certain density. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of crushed blackberry, morello cherry, and slight hints of cornflower/iris associated with touches of small crushed red berries, hints of chocolate, toast as well as a subtle hint of coffee and toasted hazelnut The tannins are supple. Sapidity on the finish/persistence.
