Dufort-Vivens – Les Plantes 2022 – Margaux

The nose is elegant, racy, peppery, precise and offers a certain intensity. The wine benefits from decanting. We find notes of sweet pepper, violets and more lightly, small wild fruits, associated with discreet hints of clove. The palate is nicely juicy, mineral, fruity and offers a certain gourmandise as well as accuracy. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/fresh cassis and small crushed red berries associated with touches of juicy/sparkling fruits, hints of violet, fresh tobacco as well as a hint of sweet pepper and a subtle, almost eucalyptus-like hint (in the background). Tannins are precise and mellow. Good length.
