Duca Enrico 2004 – Sicilia DOC

The nose offers deepness, complexity, controlled power. It expresses notes of undergrowth, dried cherry and small notes of dried plum, associated with touches of tobacco box, dried strawberry, as well as fine almost herbal hints, tonka bean, nutmeg and a subtle hint of roasted hazelnut. The palate is fruity and offers delicacy, substance, a nice acidity and energy, an elegant, tense, precise, racy, powerful and controlled grain. The palate expresses notes of dried wild blackcurrant, dried wild plum and small notes of crushed raspberry associated with animal touches, undergrowth, almost truffles, as well as fine hints of vanilla. Roundness and a nice coating/gourmet side brought by the barrel. Tannins are sapid, polished and gourmet. Nice acidity and sapidity in the background.
