Donnafugata – Fragore 2016 – DOC Etna

The nose is fruity and offers power as well as intensity. It reveals notes of wild raspberry, crunchy blackberry and small notes of crunchy strawberry associated with fine touches of pepper, nutmeg as well as a discreet hint of cumin and sense of the place. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a mineral frame, gourmandize as well as juiciness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/fleshy cassis, juicy black cherry and small notes of juicy plum associated with a touch of crunchy raspberry, very fine hints of flowers (local, lilac) as well as a subtle hint of olivier, an imperceptible hint of rosemary and a very discreet hint of tobacco (in the background).
