Domaine Verret 2022 – Irancy

The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose offers gourmandise, juiciness and an expressive fruitiness. It expresses notes of crushed red cherry, redcurrant jelly, ripe strawberry, a little tart, crushed raspberry as well as a touch of blueberry jam and crushed red plum. We also find a touch of wild rose and peony, combined with a note of thyme sprig and crushed mint leaf. On the palate, the wine is airy, accessible, with lightness and juiciness of fruit. It expresses notes of crushed raspberry, tart red cherry, crushed red plum, crunchy strawberry, as well as crushed red currants and a fine floral and herbaceous hint (notes of wild rose, peony and crushed mint). The tannins are practically imperceptible, mellow. The finish is gourmand, fruity and quite persistent, with a nice acidity and a hint of pepper in the background. An accessible, fresh and sapid wine.
