Domaine Truchetet Les Bonnemaines 2022 – Côtes de Nuits Villages

The wine has a pale and bright ruby color. The first nose expresses a racy mineral framework (dry stone, limestone rock), which is then complemented by delicate notes of roasting (toasted hazelnut, a hint of coffee from a blond roast, smoke in the background), sweet spices (liquorice, nutmeg), as well as touches of tangy red fruits (juicy red cherry, even a hint of chocolate cherry, strawberry, crushed raspberry, crushed blackcurrant), dried mint and a floral touch of fresh violet and peony. The palate is juicy, tangy and lively. It expresses the flavors of tart red cherry, fresh cranberries (with a good bitterness), crunchy raspberry and strawberry, combined with sweet spices (liquorice, white pepper), a hint of roasting in the background (coffee, fresh hazelnut, toasted hazelnut), as well as a touch of blackcurrant bud and rose stem. The finish is chiseled and lively, with a sharp acidity and a tangy frame of small red fruits.
