Domaine Rolet – 2012 Arbois

The nose is fruity with a certain power, a small concentration with notes of mirabelle plum, quince, saffron, associated with touches of concentrated small yellow fruits as well as fine hints of almost toasted bread. We also have cumin and a discreet hint of verbena and pepper. Complexity. The palate is fresh, juicy and offers a certain gourmandize, tension, finesse, precision. There is delicacy in its power. There are aromas of crushed yellow berries, yellow peach, quince, associated with touches of lemon, saffron, curcumin. There is a subtle hint of butter, chestnut, hazelnut and also imperceptible fresh walnuts in the background. Good length. Pretty tangy and biting side on the finish. Dynamism on the finish that revives the wine. A subtle toasted touch on the finish.
