Domaine Roger Belland – Morgeot-Clos Pitois 1er Cru – Monopole 2023 – AOC Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru

The wine has a beautiful bright straw color. The first nose is intense, mineral, and fruity with notes of crisp apple, yellow peach, and pineapple. There are also subtle hints of butter, toast, and pine sap. There is also a floral touch of lemon blossom and green tea. The second nose opens with more intensity and a more present terroir side, more mineral, more sense of place with a very nice freshness. We find fruits and white pepper. The palate is round on the attack, fresh with good minerality. There is amplitude and fruit with notes of apple, ripe yellow and green lemon, roasted/fresh pineapple, and a hint of banana. There is a certain directness, stretching with the salivating, almost saline acidity. The finish is long, delicate with notes of apricot kernel, biscuit, and butter.
