The nose is aromatic, spicy, with a note of liquorice. It reveals notes of bright blueberry, bright blackcurrant, and more slightly – notes of small fleshy/juicy red fruits associated with touches of cornflower, liquorice as well as a very discreet hint almost fresh nutmeg and fresh vanilla. The mouth is fruity, bright, gourmand and offers purity in its fruit, roundness, nice volume, purity, generosity, a nice definition as well as a fine tension. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of bright blueberry, fleshy/juicy blue plum, and more slightly – hints of cornflower associated with touches of cherry, cherry blossoms, a subtle almost lilac hint, star anise as well as a very discreet hint of toast and fresh coffee (on the finish). The tannins are supple and sapid.
