Domaine Roger Belland 2017 – Santenay-Commes, 1er Cru

The nose is fruity, elegant, gourmand, racy and offers complexity as well as a good finesse of the grain. It reveals notes of ripe cherry, blackberry and small notes of small wild red fruits associated with hints of cornflower, lily as well as discreet hints of liquorice and toasted/vanilla. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, juiciness, fleshiness, a beautiful gourmandize, roundness, suavity, a small generosity, a small complexity, a fine straightness as well as a good guideline. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy cherry, fleshy blackberry and small notes of fleshy raspberry associated with touches of juicy violet plum as well as fine hints of liquorice, toasted, cornflower/lily and an imperceptible hint of mild tobacco (in the background).
