The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is gourmand, refined and offers a certain concentration, airiness and a fine floral bouquet. It expresses notes of roasted red cherry, fresh morello cherry, wild strawberry, black plum and raspberry coulis, combined with notes of violet, dried rose and lily, as well as a spicy touch of liquorice, white pepper and ground nutmeg. We also find aromas of torrefaction in the background (toasted hazelnut, heated wood) and a subtle minerality (graphite). The palate is straight and chiseled, with lively acidity and a fine tannic structure, but quite firm, without being dry. It expresses notes of ripe fruit (red cherry, morello cherry, strawberry, black plum, red plum), a subtle floral bouquet (violet, peony, lily), a spicy (liquorice, nutmeg) and herbaceous touch (thyme, dried mint). Good persistence in the mouth with gourmand notes of stewed cherry and dark chocolate.
