Domaine Raoul Gautherin & Fils – Grenouilles 2021 – Chablis Grand Cru

The nose is elegant, powerful and offers finesse, an incisive side as well as complexity in its aromatic palette. It reveals notes of vine peach, pink lychee and small notes of ripe citrus associated with touches of bright yellow apple, kumquat, hints of pulpy/creamy mirabelle plum as well as slight hints of butter, toasted almond, delicate hints of verbena and salinity. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness, acidity, gourmandize, a beautiful suavity / roundness, a certain creaminess in elegance (and without any heaviness) as well as a beautiful energy on the acidity / lime. Elegance, finesse and a melodious side. On the palate, this wine expresses nice notes of ripe/tangy quince, acidulous/juicy peach and small notes of mandarin associated with touches of mirabelle plum, physalis as well as hints of butter, toast and a subtle hint of toasted hazelnut. Beautiful salinity and sapidity on the finish/persistence.
