Domaine Raguenières, Les Baiges 2020 – Bourgueil

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is fruity and fresh. It expresses notes of tart red cherry (with a fine hint of maceration), crushed raspberry, blackcurrant, red currants, as well as a spicy touch of white pepper and nutmeg. We also find fine floral notes of violet, dried rose, a sweet side of peony in the background, as well as a hint of mint syrup. The palate is gourmand, juicy and fruity. It expresses the flavors of crushed strawberry, raspberry coulis, stewed red cherry, crushed blackcurrant, as well as violet, dried rose petals, peony, licorice and mint syrup in the background. The tannins are fine and enveloped. The acidity is fresh and salivating. Good persistence with notes of red cherry jam and peony.
