The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose opens up after aeration and offers a warm and gourmand side of roasted fruits. It expresses notes of roasted red cherry, juicy blackberry, crushed strawberry, roasted raspberry and red plum jam, combined with touches of roasted Mediterranean herbs (roasted bouquet garni), wild mint, peony, as well as a meaty touch and dried rose in the background. The palate offers chewiness, a certain concentration and freshness in its fruity material. It expresses flavors of crushed strawberry, roasted red cherry, roasted raspberry, red plum jam and blackberry, combined with a good bitterness (bitter almond), notes of roasted herbs (roasted thyme and rosemary), as well as mint and peony in the background. The finish is rather persistent, with good acidity and on the tangy note of red cherry. The tannins are well constructed, fine and finely tight.
