Domaine Philippe Raimbault, Mosaïque 2022 – Pouilly-Fumé

The wine has a pale lemon yellow color with light golden reflections. The nose is aromatic, gourmand and ripe: it expresses the aromas of juicy stone fruits (yellow peach, apricot, ripe green mango, melon), balanced by the acidity of gooseberries, green apple, yellow lemon and grapefruit. After aeration, we also find a very subtle touch of honey, fine floral aromas of lime blossom and chamomile, as well as the smoky minerality of flint in the background and a touch of limestone and iodine. The palate is expressive and savoury. In the attack, we sense pronounced citrus notes: lemon, lime and grapefruit, with a perceptible, but pleasant bitterness. The mid-palate brings the sweetness of stone fruits (yellow peach, yellow nectarine) and candied lemon peel, which balance the bitterness and acidity, as well as flavors of gooseberry and a mineras (iodized, limestone and gunflint). The finish is straight, precise, chiseled and fresh. The wine lingers on the palate with the good bitterness of lime and a floral touch of lime. Typicality and a beautiful expression of terroir.
