(AB. 100% Carignan) The nose is elegant, spicy, complex and offers a nice pepperiness (nice aromatic breadth in its pepper palette). Frank and intense. It reveals notes of bright wild cassis, wild redcurrants and small notes of Cubeb pepper associated with touches of warm olive tree, small fruits, delicate hints of berries as well as a hint of warm aromatic herbs, almost warm bay leaf, a subtle hint of Kampot pepper and Timut pepper. The palate is beautifully built, supple, mineral, juicy, precise and offers a certain straightness, pulpiness as well as verticality. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy cassis, wild cherry and small notes of red berries associated with touches of dry bay leaf, strawberry tree as well as almost olive tree hints, juicy blackberry, infusion and bergamot. Tannins are mellow and tasty. Presence of a very discreet almost toasted hint in the background. Nice chewiness and gourmandise on the finish/persistence. Good persistence (more than 10 caudalies).
