(AB. 44% Syrah, 38% Grenache, 18% Carignan) The nose is spicy, frank, fresh, precise, deep and nicely rooted in its terroir and biotope. It reveals notes of juicy/pulpy cherry, bright redcurrants and small notes of pulpy blue fruits associated with touches of fresh sage, fresh grove as well as a discreet hint of almost fresh rosemary, a subtle hint of infusion (in freshness) and a delicate hint of Timut pepper. The palate is beautifully built, fresh and offers verticality, delicacy, a tangy frame, energy, mellowness, juiciness as well as a nice purity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright redcurrants, shiny cherry and small notes of roasted-juicy strawberry associated with touches of arbutus (fruit of the strawberry tree), almost ripe citrus fruits as well as a hint of olive leaf, rosemary, a subtle hint of spices and an imperceptible hint of bergamot in the background. Good length. Nice mellowness and toasted hint on the finish/persistence.
