The wine has a ruby colour of medium intensity. The nose expresses a lot of spice and pronounced roasting notes. There are notes of black pepper, cinnamon, liquorice, ground coffee, toast, dark chocolate, cloves and a slight graphite note, wrapped in a rich and concentrated fruit bouquet, with notes of blackberry, Morello cherry, wild strawberry, crushed strawberry, raspberry coulis and red currant jam. There is also herbaceous freshness in the notes of peppermint and rosemary. On the palate, the wine has good substance: juicy, deep flavours and firm, yet velvety tannins. The wine expresses notes of ripe black and red fruits (Morello cherry, blackberry, blackcurrant, wild strawberry, red cherry), sweet spices (cinnamon, liquorice, clove) that are delicate and less pronounced than on the nose, as well as herbs and dried flowers (dried rose petals, blueberry, peppermint). The finish is persistent, supple and fruity, with a hint of prunes in the background. Nice acidity and energy on the palate.
