The wine has a ruby colour of medium intensity. The nose is concentrated, rich and juicy, slightly jammy. On the nose, the wine expresses savoury notes of dark chocolate, bitter cocoa, cinnamon, white pepper, cloves, liquorice and the freshness of aromatic herbs (dried mint, fresh rosemary), as well as a hint of blond tobacco, caramel and fresh flowers (peony, lilac). On the palate, the flavours are dense, juicy and very fruity, with a hint of sweet spices, aromatic herbs and dried flowers. There are notes of fresh, roasted Morello cherry, blue plum, blue fig, blueberry, fresh blackcurrant, Bigarreau cherry, as well as hints of mint, pepper, liquorice and white pepper. The tannins have a firm, slightly grainy structure and need time to soften. The acidity is lively, salivating and integrated. Together with the tannic structure, it gives the wine good ageing potential. Good persistence, power and balance.
