The wine has a medium ruby colour. The nose is open, juicy and offers a lot of fruit. There are notes of ripe red and black fruits (Morello cherry, blackcurrant, crushed strawberry, wild strawberry, red cherry, raspberry coulis, red currant), with savoury notes of smoked meat, white pepper and liquorice in the background. On the palate, the wine has good roundness, concentration and maturity. It expresses juicy flavours of crushed strawberry, Morello cherry, blueberry, fresh blackcurrant, wild strawberry and redcurrant, with a hint of roasted meat and smoke in the background. There are also savoury notes of clove, liquorice, nutmeg and coffee roast. Good length with juicy, ripe fruit (especially Morello cherry), structured, slightly dry tannins and good freshness thanks to high acidity. Good concentration and richness of fruit. An open, pleasant and fleshy wine.
