The wine has a pale ruby colour. The nose is aromatic and refined. It expresses warm notes of sweet spices, dark chocolate, cinnamon, cloves, torrefaction (toasted brioche, ground coffee) and lots of fresh ripe and jammy fruit (Morello cherry, wild strawberry, red cherry, blackberry, red plum, blue plum, blueberry). There is also some menthol and fine touches of peppermint, star anise, peony and violet. On the palate, the wine expresses juicy fruit flavours (red cherry, raspberry, strawberry, blueberry, blackberry, red currant, blackcurrant), herbaceous notes (mint, tea leaf, thyme) and a slight spicy touch (white pepper, liquorice). The tannins are present, but mellow and velvety. Firm but elegant structure, with lively acidity and freshness. Long finish and good spicy sapidity on the finish.
