The wine has a pale ruby colour. The nose expresses fresh fruit juiciness and complexity, thanks to a certain evolution. There are notes of crushed strawberry, wild strawberry, Morello cherry, Morello cherry jam, fresh red currant, blueberry, blackberry, a slight note of black currant liqueur as well as sweet notes of cinnamon, bitter cocoa, clove, toast and the freshness of liquorice and peppermint. On the palate, there is rich, concentrated fruit (blackberry, Morello cherry, wild strawberry, red cherry, red currant, tart raspberry, blueberry) and a refreshing herbaceous note (peppermint, a touch of menthol and blackcurrant leaf) and sweetness of spice, cocoa and roast (clove, white pepper, liquorice, a hint of star anise, ground coffee and toast). The tannins have a fine grain and a firm structure. Nice balance of tannins and fresh fruit juiciness on the palate. The wine is persistent and aromatic on the finish, with good energy and lively, refreshing acidity.
