The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is spicy, toasted and slightly roasted. It expresses aromas of licorice, cardamom, nutmeg, ground cumin, combined with touches of toasted hazelnut, smoke and roasted aromatic herbs (roasted bouquet garni). There are also ripe fruits and roasted fruits (juicy morello cherry, fresh red cherry, roasted red cherry, red currant, strawberry, roasted raspberry), as well as tobacco, dried rose and a hint of mint. The palate offers precision, liveliness, energy, as well as lively acidity and good bitterness. It expresses notes of ripe morello cherry, roasted red cherry, strawberry, raspberry, roasted red cherry and blackcurrant in the background, combined with a fine spiciness (cardamom, liquorice, white pepper), a herbaceous touch (mint, dried blackcurrant leaf in the background), as well as a toasted and bitter touch of coffee. The tannins are finely tight, delicate, but quite structured. The finish is straight, precise and tangy, with a good bitterness reminiscent of grapefruit and a juicy and enveloping side of morello cherry. Good persistence on a floral touch (violet, dried rose).
