The wine has a ruby colour of medium intensity. The nose is slightly restrained but offers concentration and depth. It expresses juicy, fresh and jammy red and black fruit notes (Morello cherry, wild strawberry, crushed strawberry, blueberry, raspberry coulis, blue plum, red currant), peppermint, menthol, liquorice, a slight touch of toast and delicate floral notes (violet, peony, lilac). On the palate, the wine expresses a powerful and firm structure, with young, slightly dry and grippy tannins. It expresses flavours of tart black and ripe red fruits (fresh Morello cherry, blackberry, sour cherry, red currant, blackcurrant), smoke (almost a tobacco note), black pepper, liquorice stick and a powdery side of bitter cocoa. On the finish, the flavours are juicy and bright, with good acidity and a pleasant note of fresh blackcurrant. Nice persistence on a pleasant bitterness and salivating acidity. A youthful wine, to be kept to discover its potential.
