The nose is fruity and offers a certain power, a fine grain, depth as well as a certain fullness. It reveals notes of blackberry, camphor and slightly strawberry associated with touches of pepper, fresh cinnamon as well as discreet hints of fleshy wild red fruits and a fine hint of grey pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, framed and offers pulpy, fleshy, tension, a stretched side, a mineral frame as well as a good tannic structure. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy / luscious blackberry, luscious / juicy raspberry and more slightly tangy / crunchy small red currants associated with touches of iris / flowers, local grove as well as hints of olive tree, with racy minerality and a discreet touch of tonka bean. Tannins are precise, finely soft and powdery. Good length.
