Domaine Le Conte des Floris, 6 Rah Noirs -2019 Languedoc Pézenas

The wine has a ruby color with slight garnet hints. The nose has a medium (+) intensity, with notes of juicy fruits (wild blackberry, black cherry, wild strawberry), flowers (violet, peony, and a slight hint of dried rose), a hint of smoked meat as well as spices (cloves, nutmeg) and a very slight saline touch on the second nose. On the palate, the wine expresses red fruits (red currant, raspberry, wild strawberry) with slight meaty and spicy notes (cloves, black pepper). The body of the wine has a medium level, the tannins are tight. The finish is quite long, with notes of fresh red berries (currant) and tart red cherry, medium acidity (+), and a very slight chalky and mineral note. Beautiful complexity, precision, and freshness on the palate.
