Domaine le Clos des Cazaux, Les Clefs d’Or 2023 – Vacqueyras

The wine has a pale lemon yellow color. The nose is gourmand, pure, fruity and very fragrant. It expresses notes of juicy yellow peach, very ripe apricot, yellow apple, a refreshing touch of crunchy white peach, as well as fresh fennel, green apple, lemon zest, candied quince, fruit of passion in the background and white flowers (orange blossom, apple blossom). A delicate touch of mint appears after aeration. The palate has a round and oily texture, as well as a dense and delicious fruity substance. We find notes of juicy yellow peach (even yellow peach in syrup), crushed ripe apricot, ripe pineapple, a hint of melon, candied lemon, yellow apple and orange zest. The finish is oily, delicious and rather persistent, with a slight bitterness and refreshing notes of fennel and mint. The acidity is lively and salivating. A pleasant, pure, juicy and harmonious wine.
