The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose first expresses a pronounced aroma of cherry and kirsch, which loses its expression of alcohol and becomes more spicy and fruity after aeration. We find in particular the aromas of chocolate morello cherry, dried cherry, wild strawberry, black plum, blueberry jam and blackcurrant, associated with notes of liquorice, toasted wood in the background, caramelized almond, menthol, dried peppermint, dark chocolate, as well as black pepper in the background, a delicate touch of dried rose, as well as a refreshing salty touch, combined with aromas of roasted bouquet garni, roasted red cherry and smoke in the background. The palate offers volume and concentration, but with freshness, velvety and structured tannins, a slightly warming finish, but not with pronounces alcohol, as well as a rather supple acidity, but quite lively and balanced in the profile of the wine. We find notes of chocolate morello cherry, very ripe black plum, wild blackberry, crushed blueberry, strawberry and wood, as well as herbaceous notes of garrigue, dried mint, roasted bouquet garni, fresh morello cherry and blackcurrant, combined with notes of cocoa, bitter chocolate, a good bitterness of coffee, as well as spicy notes of liquorice, ground cumin, crushed coriander seeds and a touch of toasted wood on the finish. Good persistence in the mouth, on fruit and dark chocolate, with a slight hint of kirsch.
