The nose is elegant, aromatic and offers power, a small intensity as well as a fine/racy/very finely tight grain. This wine should be decanted. It reveals notes of bright blackberry, small black berries, small notes of candied redcurrant associated with touches of grey pepper, pulpy blue plum, laurel berries, sweet spices, a discreet hint of garrigue and pepper. The palate is elegant, gourmand, beautifully precise and offers a small acidulous frame, a beautiful bright/juicy fruit as well as a beautiful purity of the fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, bright blackberry, raspberry, small notes of crushed/candied redcurrant associated with small touches of bright strawberry, violet, pink laurel as well as small touches of dry local copse, liquorice stick, chocolate, a very discreet hint of black olive and vanilla. Good length. Tannins are elegant and very discreetly firm. A subtle hint of expresso and crushed hazelnut on the persistence. Good length. Suavity and a beautiful sapidity on the finish/persistence.
