The nose is powerful, elegant, racy, deep and offers a beautiful intensity (in control). This wine should be decanted. It reveals notes of black cherry, wild blueberry, small notes of small wild black berries associated with small touches of violet, wild strawberry, liquorice stick, sense of the place as well as fine hints of pink laurel, thyme flowers, camphor and a fine hint of grey pepper. The palate is fruity, elegant, silky and offers a beautiful definition, a beautiful finesse of the grain, a beautiful delicate touch as well as a fine acidulous frame and a fine fleshiness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy Boysen berry, crushed raspberry, small notes of strawberry associated with touches of blueberry, cornflower, lilac/pink laurel as well as fine hints of nutmeg, small pulpy berries, cardamom, very discreet hints of vanilla and crushed redcurrant. A wine full of subtility.
