The wine shows a medium ruby purple colour with a brightening rim. The nose is dense and perfumed, revealing notes of ripe black raspberries, forest blackberries and bramble, complicated by nuances of sweet spices, liquorice and tobacco. The palate is juicy and gourmet, offering moderate acidity, a lot of fruitiness and gourmandise, slightly grippy but ripe tannins. The wine opens up with sweet and sour black fruit flavours, kirsch and crème de cassis, as well as a hint of green pepper and tomato leaf. The finish is fruity and pleasant.
