The wine has a bright pale ruby color. The nose offers a certain density, complexity and gourmandise. It expresses notes of roasted red cherry, juicy morello cherry, crushed strawberry, roasted raspberry, blackcurrant, associated with a savoury spiciness (liquorice, a touch of vanilla, cumin in the background), a herbaceous freshness (peppermint, fresh tobacco, dried pine needles), a touch of toasted hazelnut, as well as fragrant flowers (rose, peony, a hint of cornflower). After aeration, we also find a gourmet chocolate note. The palate is finely tight, juicy, fresh, with fine-grained and well-built tannins. It expresses the flavors of fresh strawberry, roasted raspberry, juicy morello cherry, roasted red cherry, blackcurrant and cranberries in the background, combined with notes of liquorice, white pepper and dried vanilla in the background, dried blueberry, peony, as well as dried pine needles, peppermint and toast (a bitter touch of coffee, toasted hazelnut). Good level of acidity, the finish is rather persistent, on notes of dried red fruits and a good bitterness, but seems closed.
