Domaine J. Moreau & Fils – Vaulorent 2023 – AOC Chablis Premier Cru

The wine has a beautiful bright pale lemon color. The first nose is fresh, intense, and fragrant with notes of lime, verbena, ripe lemon, juicy white peach, and mirabelle plum. There are hints of toast, butter, and vanilla. The second nose opens with minty freshness and reveals fruit and a hint of white pepper. The palate is fresh and tangy on the attack with finesse and a slight tension. There is a salinity that appears in the mid-palate with a racy minerality. We find lemon, juicy yellow peach, as well as butter and light toast. There is a beautiful fluidity and dynamism with the acidity. The finish is fine and floral.
