Domaine Heresztyn-Mazzini – Les Millandes 2018 – Morey-Saint-Denis Premier Cru

The nose is elegant, racy and offers a small racy minerality as well as a certain aromatic purity. It reveals notes of black cherry, plum, small notes of blackberry associated with touches of lily, a racy minerality, cardamom as well as fine hints of camphor, zan and a very discreet hint of cuben pepper. The palate is elegant, delicate and offers power (full of control), a small fleshiness, a fine intensity as well as an acidulous frame, a beautiful racy minerality, tension and deepness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of black cherry, juicy/bright black plum, small notes of blackberry associated with touches of crunchy red cherry, small berries as well as a subtle hint of liquorice stick, camphor, a racy minerality, a subtle hint of incense, zan and spices. Good length. Tannins are fine and finely firm. A hint of caramelization/mocha and coffee on the persistence. A fine firmness on the finish.
