Domaine Heresztyn Mazzini – Les Goulots 2017– Gevrey Chambertin, 1er Cru

The nose is fresh, fruity, racy and offers dynamism, intensity as well as a beautiful finesse of the grain. It reveals notes of fleshy plum, Boysen berry and small notes of black cherry, cornflower/violet associated with touches of racy minerality as well as discreet hints of cassis, liquorice stick and discreet hints of tea (in the background). The palate is fruity, juicy, fresh, well-balanced, racy and offers a beautiful definition, precision, purity, power, a good structure, an acidulous frame, a beautiful suavity, peps as well as a beautiful finesse and precision of the grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of cassis and juicy Quetsche plum associated with touches of black cherry, Boysen berry, crunchy raspberry as well as discreet hints of liquorice, juicy blueberry, cardamom, spices and camphor. Tannins are fine, elegant, structuring and very slightly marked. Good length.
