Domaine Heresztyn Mazzini – Gevrey Chambertin Vieilles Vignes 2017 les Jouises

The nose is aromatic, elegant and offers opulence as well as fine concentration. It reveals notes of wild black berries, black cherry and small notes of liquorice associated with touches of plum, gray pepper, cornflower as well as discreet hints of spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, precise, fine and offers juiciness, generosity, a beautiful definition, a beautiful acidulous frame, tension, a beautiful aromatic purity of the fruit, a fine straightness, a small concentration as well as a good structure. On the palate this wine expresses notes of ripe/crunchy cassis, juicy/crunchy small blue berries and small notes of plum associated with fine touches of black cherry, liquorice as well as hints of cornflower, fleshy/crunchy small red berries as well as discreet hints of toasted, a very discreet hint of tonka/cardamom on the finish/persistence. There is a very discreet hint of chocolate on the aftertaste (brings gourmandize). A beautiful wine!
