Domaine Heresztyn Mazzini – 2017 Chambolle Musigny Village

The nose is elegant, fruity and offers a beautiful elegance, power (but beautifully controlled), a beautiful fine/racy grain as well as delicacy. It reveals notes of violet, plum and small notes of wild blackberry associated with small touches of Sichuan pepper, spices, camphor, red fruits as well as discreet hints of chocolate and flowers. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, a beautiful structure, a beautiful roundness, generosity, roundness, a small tension, a beautiful acid frame, a beautiful guideline, a beautiful precision as well as a beautiful fine grain and very discreetly tight. On the palate this wine expresses notes of ripe cassis, plum and small notes of blackberry associated with touches of black cherry, violet/cornflower, very discreet hints of tea, toasted almond, liquorice as well as a very discreet hint of camphor and Sichuan pepper. Tannins are fine and structuring. A very beautiful wine!
