Domaine Haut Ventenac – L’autrement 2019 – Francs Côtes de Bordeaux

The nose is fruity and offers a good definition, a good purity of the fruit as well as concentration (but in elegance). It reveals notes of pulpy blackberry, pulpy raspberry and small notes of pulpy / ripe blue fruits associated with very slight touches of cornflowers, licorice stick, mocha and a discreet hint of vanilla pod. The palate is fruity, fresh and offers a beautiful definition, an acidulous frame, a beautiful pulpy / bright / juicy / slightly acidulous fruit, a good precision, fruit purity, tension as well as density. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy / juicy cassis, juicy boysenberry and small notes of small blue fruits associated with a touch of crushed raspberry, lilac, lily as well as hints of chocolate and cardamom. Good length. Slight hints of ripe hazelnut / toasted on the finish / persistence.
