Domaine Guy & Yvan Dufouleur – Les Vaumuriens 2020 – Pommard

A nice racy nose that offers power, deepness, a certain complexity as well as a relatively tight grain. The wine beneficiates from being decanted. It reveals notes of fresh cherry, lily/fresh rose, and more slightly – notes of small fresh red fruits associated with touches of violet, and boysenberry as well as hints of racy minerality, graphite, and a subtle hint of gray pepper. The mouth is aerial, fruity, all in elegance, and offers suavity, minerality, a very nice acidity, precision, and finesse in its fullness as well as delicacy. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/tangy blackberry, small bright red fruits, and more slightly – hints of crunchy red fruits associated with touches of violet, fresh rose, hints of cardamom, incense as well as a subtle hint of mocha, crushed almond, and toasted hazelnut.
