Domaine Guy & Yvan Dufouleur, Les Poulettes 2021 – Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru

The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is velvety, textured and juicy. It expresses notes of ripe red cherry, wild strawberry, raspberry coulis and a touch of crushed blueberry, combined with a delicate aroma of violet, cornflower, lily, as well as touches of sweet spices (nutmeg, licorice, white pepper), toast and smoke (in the background). On the palate, the wine offers a more pronounced savoriness, as well as notes of roasted red fruits, balanced by a salivating acidity. We find notes of fresh red cherry, roasted red cherry, raspberry coulis, wild strawberry and crushed blueberry, as well as floral touches of violet and cornflower and a fine spicy side in the background (licorice, nutmeg, white pepper). The tannins are well structured: fine, but have a certain power. Beautiful juiciness and sapidity in the mid-palate, the finish is persistent and fresh, with a good bitterness.
