The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose offers complexity, an expressive spiciness (liquorice, nutmeg, crushed coriander seeds, ground cumin), but enveloped, as well as a ripe fruity notes (raspberry, wild strawberry, blueberry, crushed morello cherry, roasted red cherry, red plum) and a fine floral bouquet (lily, dried rose, lilac). We also find subtle tertiary (undergrowth) and woody (toasted wood) notes, harmoniously integrated. The palate is enveloping, expressive, even warm, but airy and elegant. The attack is fruity and juicy, with gourmand notes of roasted cherry, ripe morello cherry, chocolate cherry, wild blackberry, red plum, redcurrant jelly and chocolate cherry, combined with notes of sweet spices (liquorice, toasted vanilla, crushed coriander seeds, ground cumin), flowers (lilac, peony), mint chocolate and delicate tertiary notes (undergrowth, tobacco). The tannins are soft and fine, but firm, associated with a refreshing acidity. The finish is persistent, with notes of fleshy red fruits, chocolate cherry and dried mint. Good concentration, complexity and good aging potential.
