The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is delicately fragrant and fruity. It expresses notes of ripe red cherry, raspberry, red currant, red plum and elderberry, combined with a fine floral bouquet (dried rose, dried cornflower, lily), notes of sweet spices (liquorice, white pepper, ground cumin), crushed peppermint, fresh tobacco, as well as a subtle toasted and smoky touch in the background. The palate offers juiciness, accuracy and energy. It expresses notes of morello cherry, red cherry (even roasted red cherry), red plum, roasted raspberry and dried cranberries, associated with notes of sweet spices (white pepper, liquorice, ground cumin), with a a fine smoky and meaty touch, with a gourmand hint of cherry in chocolate and toasted hazelnut, as well as a floral touch of dried rose and lily. The tannins are structured and grippy, but have a fine texture, as well as a powdery and chocolatey touch. The finish is persistent, refreshing and delicious: with notes of dark chocolate and mint. Nice acidity and balance.
