The nose is spicy, fruity with good definition and some depth as well as complexity. There are notes of violet, fresh tobacco and more slightly peppered with touches of crunchy purple plums and crushed berries as well as an almost liquorice-like quality and a delicate hint of sweet spice. The palate is fruity with a tangy structure, juiciness, freshness, precision and good definition. There are notes of juicy, full-bodied blackberries, fresh, full-bodied cherries and a hint of violets combined with hints of toasted almond, nutmeg and fine spice. There is a subtle hint of chocolate and sapidness on the lingering finish. The tannins are discreetly tight with tension.
