Domaine Guy & Yvan Dufouleur, Clos des Perrières 2021 – Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru

The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is discreet and reserved – the wine requires aeration. Then it expresses notes of ripe red fruits, with a fine tangy touch (raspberry, strawberry, bigarreau cherry, red plum), blueberry and crushed blackcurrant, associated with herbaceous aromas of rosemary, dried thyme in the background and touches flowers (violet, wildflowers, cornflower, cherry blossom in the background), sweet spices (nutmeg, cloves, licorice in the background). The palate is chiseled and offers precision, freshness, fruit as well as a certain concentration and complexity. It expresses notes of strawberry, tart red cherry, raspberry, crushed blackcurrant, red currant, as well as floral touches of fresh violet, cherry blossom, a fine spiciness (clove, nutmeg, licorice in the background) and an herbaceous touch on the finish. The acidity is strong and salivating. The tannins are integrated and fine. A lively, incisive and tangy wine. Good persistence on the palate.
