The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The first nose expresses smoky and meaty notes, which disappear after aeration. On the second nose, we find aromas of fresh red fruits (red cherry, strawberry, raspberry, red currant, dried cranberries), a touch of blueberry, as well as a delicate spiciness (liquorice, crushed coriander seeds, cloves), a floral touch of rose and lilac, as well as a note of toasted wood and toasted (even caramelized) hazelnut in the background, and crushed mint. The palate is lively, tangy and juicy. It expresses notes of crushed red cherry, red currants, raspberry, red plum and tart strawberry, combined with spicy notes of licorice, coriander seeds and cloves. There are also notes of crushed peppermint, lilac and dried rose on the finish. The tannins are fine, powdery and well structured. The acidity is lively and pleasant. Beautiful persistence, with a gourmand touch of chocolate and hazelnut.
