Domaine Guy & Yvan Dufouleur – Aux Saint-Julien 2018 – Nuits-Saint-Georges

The nose is fruity, elegant and offers a small power as well as harmony. It reveals notes of fleshy plum, fleshy blackberry and small notes of crushed cherry associated with fine hints of violet, racy minerality as well as a discreet hint of rose, crushed red berries and a discreet hint of cardamom/sweet spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a juicy/acidulous frame, a fine tension, a good definition, a good guideline as well as gourmandize. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of fleshy cherry, crushed blackberry and small notes of plum associated with very fine touches of wild strawberry, violet/rose as well as hints of racy minerality, liquorice and spices. Tannins are elegant and well-built. Good persistence with an imperceptible hint of ripe almond.
