The nose is fruity, elegant, gourmet with some density and richness. There are notes of fleshy Bigarreau cherries, crushed redcurrants and more slightly roasted berries associated with a touch of blackberry, lily, star anise and a discreet almost varietal hint of fresh bay leaf. The palate is fruity with a tangy texture and juiciness. It has good definition and a certain gourmandise, tension, accuracy and a nice energy in the sense of detail. There are notes of plump, juicy cherries, roasted red berries with a hint of juicy crunchy plums combined with touches of bright blackcurrant and a hint of star anise, tonka bean. There’s a fine note of toasted almond. There is good length and definition, juiciness, roundness and lovely fruit.
